1. Fri. Today begins the CEF® Youth Retreat. Pray for the young people who are in attendance: for them to be challenged and edified~ to grow in their faith and their Christian witness. Pray for Dillon as he coordinates this weekend and for the following pastors as they teach and mentor the youth: Preston Broadhurst, Jonathan Hikes, Matt Kenitzer, and Kyle Roth. Pray for Lance and Vanesca Brubaker, Pastor Ben Sholl, and Missy Trapani as they serve as mentors.
2. Sat. Pray for strength for Shelley as she provides the food for the youth retreat. Pray that the youth get along and build lasting relationships.
3. Sun. Today is the final day of the youth retreat. Pray for the young people as they are challenged to put into practice what they learned this weekend~ that they would not be hearers of the Word only.
4. Mon. Praise God for Janet Kramer as she grades the Mailbox Club™ lessons. Janet spends many hours grading the lessons, writing notes, and praying for the children.
5. Tue. Ask God to open the eyes of the children to see Jesus~ that their hearts are open to the Gospel.
6. Wed. Pray for public-school teachers and administrators.
7. Thu. Praise God for Jesus who has freed us from the kingdom of darkness. Ask God to give you a burden for those who are lost.
8. Fri. Pray for God to burden the hearts of His people to reach the children in their neighborhood with the Gospel.
9. Sat. Pray for state director, Mark Wyland, as he travels to Schuylkill County to lead committee training. Pray for this day to be challenging and inspiring as the committee gathers to be strengthened in their service to the Lord through their work on the local CEF committee.
10. Sun. Praise God for the army of volunteers who serve the Lord through a CEF of Schuylkill County ministry. Pray for each one to be in the Word: spending time daily growing in their knowledge of Him.
11. Mon. Pray for more people willing to serve the Lord through the Good News Club® ministry. Schools are open but we don’t have the volunteers to go in.
12. Tue. Pray for Shelley, Linda, and Dillon to work together in unity and to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading.
13. Wed. Pray for children who are in difficult and unsafe home situations. Pray for them to be able to attend a Good News Club® where they will learn of the love of the Perfect Father.
14. Thu. Pray that we are faithful to teach a Biblical worldview to our children~ those in your neighborhood.
15. Fri. Pray for children who attend the public schools~ to have the opportunity to hear about Jesus: that He is the Way of salvation. For those who know Jesus as Savior to not turn to the right or to the left, that they keep their eyes on Him.
16. Sat. Ask God to burden the hearts of His people to pray for the children and the public schools in Schuylkill County.
17. Sun. Pray for God to prepare the hearts of the children to be receptive to the Gospel message.
18. Mon. Pray for parents to have a burden for the eternal souls of their children.
19. Tue. Pray for the children of Schuylkill County who “cannot distinguish between their right and their left.” Jonah 4:11 They are in spiritual darkness.
20. Wed. Pray for more children to call the Tel-A-Story™ number~ a place where they can hear a Biblical truth story to help them grow in their relationship to the Lord Jesus. (1-888-878-8660)
21. Thu. Pray for children who are in foster care~ that they will have the opportunity to hear the Gospel and believe in Jesus as their Savior, to know a Father who will never leave them.
22. Fri. Pray for God’s people to be ready in season and out of season to share the Gospel.
23. Sat. Pray that your congregation would have eyes opened to see the importance of reaching children for Christ. “Taking a child, He set him before them, and taking him in His arms, He said to them, ‘Whoever receives one child like this in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me does not receive Me, but Him who sent Me.’” Mark 9:36-37
24. Sun. Pray for the children in your neighborhood to hear the Gospel and be saved. “For this child I prayed, and the LORD has granted me my petition which I asked of Him.” 1 Samuel 1:27
25. Mon. Pray for Shelley, Linda, and Dillon to be people of the Word: to always look to the Word of God in our decision-making process.
26. Tue. Pray for the children who want to attend church and Sunday school, but their parents refuse to take them.
27. Wed. Thank God for the directors who serve CEF. Pray for Mark Wyland, PA State Director, as he leads and interacts with others. Pray that God would be his strength in the midst of spiritual opposition.
28. Thu. Give thanks for the following men and women who serve on the committee: Chairman Erik Gottfried, Vice Chairman John Racilla, Secretary Linda Fetherolf, Treasurer Cathy Nagle and members Gale Hurst and Tom Tilden as they seek for God to be glorified in all their discussions and decisions they make for CEF of Schuylkill County.
29. Fri. Pray for open hearts to the Gospel.
30. Sat. Pray for the children to call on the name of the Lord and be saved. (Romans 10:13)
31. Sun. Pray for God to give strength and health to Janet Kramer as she ministers through the Mailbox Club™. Thank God for Janet’s love for the children.
