Saying “Hello!” and “Goodbye.”
Say hello to Dillon Wertman. He is 25 years old and our new staff member. I remember Dillon when he was a little boy and attending Good News Day Camp at Manbeck’s E. C. Church, Rock. As a little boy he would listen intently to God’s Word being taught always paying close attention to the teacher.
Dillon studied Computer Programming at Pennsylvania College of Technology where he served as Men’s Ministry Leader with Cru. He is active in his church and has a passion for discipling others. When asked “What are your reasons for applying to Child Evangelism Fellowship®?” Dillon stated, referencing Matthew 28:19-20 (Jesus says, Therefore go and make disci ples of all nations…) “I believe this is the life purpose of every Christian, and while there may be many ways to fulfill this commission I think pouring into the next generation, raising up kids in the faith as well as teaching teenage, and young adult, and adult leaders how to reach children with the gospel is a worthwhile endeavor and certainly one of my great passions.”
Dillon will be attending CYIA™ as a student in preparation for the summer ministry and which will also prepare him for teaching Good News Clubs in the fall.
We look forward to what God has planned for CEF® this summer and in the months to come. If you would like to support Dillon and his ministry with CEF please make checks payable to “CEF” and mail to:

Saying “Goodbye”~
Jerusha McCarthy has been on staff with CEF® since 2017 when she began serving as a summer missionary. Last year, Jerusha joined our office staff working all year. I have truly enjoyed working with her at camps, clubs, training classes, coming up with crazy Sweep skits, and just being her co-laborer for Christ.
But changes come. Jerusha has decided to complete her classes at Ethnos360 Bible Institute in Wisconsin beginning in late August. This will then lead to new adventures for her when she returns home next May. Please pray for Jerusha as she embarks on the next phase of her journey with the Lord.
I am thankful that no matter what changes come God remains the same~ He is always good.
Shelley
