2. Tues. Today is camp training class at St. John’s Reformed Church, Friedensburg. Pray for the camp volunteers to make the time to attend. Pray for Shelley as she leads the class: to communicate in a fun and engaging way so that everyone who attends knows they are appreciated.
3. Wed. Pray for children to complete their Mailbox Club™ lessons without reminders. Praise God for Janet Kramer and Lori Steffy who grade the lessons and send each child personal notes, and of course, stickers.
4. Thu. Today is camp training class at Calvary Evan. United Methodist Church, Tamaqua (Lewistown Valley). Pray for the camp volunteers to make the time to attend. Pray for Shelley as she leads the class: to communicate in a fun and engaging way so that everyone who attends knows they are appreciated.
5. Fri. Pray for the children to call the Tel-A-Story™ number: 1-888-878-8660 where they can hear a different Biblical truth story each day.
6. Sat. Praise God for every individual and church that supports CEF of Schuylkill County financially.
7. Sun. Pray for the children who know Jesus as their Savior to want to share their faith with others.
8. Mon. Pray for every camp to be fully staffed.
9. Tue. Pray for a burden to reach the lost with the Gospel.
10. Wed. Pray for those who counsel the children for salvation~ for them to listen well as they speak with the children about Jesus, and for the children to have a “heart of flesh” as they hear the message of salvation.
11. Thu. Pray for children in foster care. Pray for God to bring them to a place where they can hear the Gospel.
12. Fri. Pray for the CYIA™ committee as they travel from their home counties to Hooversville, PA to set up for training school which begins tomorrow.
13. Sat. Pray for the staff and summer missionaries as they travel to Camp Harmony, Hooversville, PA for training school. Registration begins at 11:00. Pray for Amy and Christopher Hautle as they lead a 5-Day Club® demo for the students and staff.
14. Sun. Pray for the summer missionaries. Amy and Christopher are in the leadership track, Grace is in the Bible track (learning how to teach an evangelistic Bible lesson), Lilly, Madelyn, Natalee, Claire, Emily, Bennett, and Scarlette in the mission’s track (learning how to share the missionary story).
15. Mon. Pray for the summer missionaries. Their classes include teaching a Bible verse, counseling children for salvation, Song Time, games, children with disabilities, study halls, etc.
16. Tues. Pray for the summer missionaries to get along well with each other and learn to support one another.
17. Wed. Today is Open Air. The summer missionaries put into practice sharing the Wordless Book with a child. This day makes the youth very nervous and excited. Pray for the children’s hearts to be soft to the message of salvation.
18. Thu. This is the last full day of training school. Pray for the summer missionaries to be able to stay focused on their class work. They usually tire out now and are ready to go home, but they also don’t want to leave the friends they’ve made this week.
19. Fri. Pray for safety as everyone travels home this afternoon.
20. Sat. Pray for Shelley, Linda, and Stone Valentine as they set up for Good News Day Camp that starts on Monday.
21. Sun. Pray for Schuylkill County: many areas are spiritually dark with no Bible teaching church nearby.
22. Mon. Today is the first day of camp at Lewistown Valley Tabernacle, Tamaqua. Pray for every volunteer to show up (sometimes people change their plans and don’t tell us!).
23. Tues. Pray for the men and women who lead the ministry of CEF of Schuylkill County to be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Committee chairman~ Erik Gottfried, Secretary~ Linda Fetherolf, Treasurer~ Cathy Nagle, Members~ Jean Hurst, Tom Tilden, and Chris Trapani. Pray for more men and women who will give of their time to serve on the local committee.
24. Wed. Pray for the children’s hearts to be receptive to the Gospel.
25. Thu. Pray for Michael Scott, our camp missionary, as he shares with the children and volunteers his ministry with CEF® in the Caribbean.
26. Fri. Praise God for everyone who volunteered this week!
27. Sat. Pray for the children who come from split families. This is a hard time of year for them as they are divided between multiple homes.
28. Sun. Pray for parents to register their children for the Soccer Outreach ministry scheduled for August.
29. Mon. Pray for children to attend the 5-Day Clubs being held at Kimmel’s E. Free Church, Orwigsburg and Grace E. C. Church, Schuylkill Haven.
30. Tues. Pray for the summer missionaries to be bold and to communicate the Gospel clearly and for the children’s hearts to be softened to the Gospel.
