1. Tue. Pray for the children as they are back at school. Pray for them to remember who God is: Elohim~ their Creator, Jehovah-Jireh~ their Provider, Jehovah~ The Self-existent One, Adonai~ Master (the Final Authority), and El-Shaddai~ All-Sufficient.
2. Wed. Pray for more children to sign up to receive the Mailbox Club™ lessons. These lessons are free and are a great way for children to learn theology and to encourage daily devotions so they can grow in their knowledge of God.
3. Thu. Pray for someone who has an interest in learning website design and promotion to contact Shelley. We need someone to take over that part of the ministry.
4. Fri. Pray for our country, that there would be a spirit of revival, a turning back to God. Pray that more opportunities would open to share the Gospel with children who have never heard.
5. Sat. Pray that God would keep the doors open to have Good News Clubs in the schools. Pray that more schools would open their doors and that more individuals would volunteer to teach and help.
6. Sun. “The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” James 5:16b
7. Mon. Praise the Lord for Janet Kramer, the “Mailbox Lady”. Janet grades the Mailbox Club™ lessons and sends the children personal notes and prizes. Pray for campers to join the Mailbox Club™ and faithfully do the lessons. Thank God for Lori, Janet’s daughter, who helps her mother with all the paperwork involved in the Mailbox Club™.
8. Tue. Pray for the CEF® staff from the state of PA as they travel to Manns Choice, PA for a time of meetings and to be refreshed. They will be returning home on Thursday.
9. Wed. Praise God for those who supported a summer missionary through their finances and prayer.
10. Thu. Pray for Amy, Christopher, and Anne as they are back in college. Pray for Katie as she teaches at Upper Dauphin High School. Pray for Scarlette, Emily, Claire, Madelyn, Natalee, Lilly, Bennett, and Grace as they return to high school.
11. Fri. Pray for the children who do not attend church to have the opportunity to attend a church where they can grow in their faith.
12. Sat. Pray for children to call the Tel-A-Story number 1-888-878-8660 or to listen online at www.18888788660.com to a Biblical truth story, recorded new each day.
13. Sun. “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.” James 4:8
14. Mon. Praise God for every church that hosted a summer missionary to speak to their congregation to raise prayer and financial support: all our summer missionaries were fully funded.
15. Tue. Praise God for every Good News Club volunteer: without them we could not hold the number of clubs that we do.
16. Wed. Pray for the Holy Spirit to awaken the children to their need for salvation.
17. Thu. Pray for men and women who have a burden to see children come to Christ to pray about joining the CEF® local committee.
18. Fri. Thank God for all the faithful volunteers who made it possible to have Good News Day Camp.
19. Sat. Good News Club begins the first week of October. Pray for the permission slips to get home to the parents/guardians.
20. Sun. “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright.” Psalms 20:7-8
21. Mon. Pray for parents to have a burden for the eternal souls of their children.
22. Tue. Volunteer training class is today (10:00-noon and 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.). Pray for those in attendance to be edified and for Linda, Trixie, and Shelley to make the teaching clear and helpful.
23. Wed. Pray for pastors to be diligent in making contact with the unchurched children who attended one of our summer ministries.
24. Thu. Pray for every club to be fully staffed.
25. Fri. Pray for children who have Bibles to read them!
26. Sat. Pray for the children who come from unstable home situations to grasp the love of our Heavenly Father.
27. Sun. “As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.” Psalm 16:2
28. Mon. Pray for every Good News Club to have full enrollment/attendance.
29. Tues. Give thanks for the following men and women who serve on the committee: Chairman Erik Gottfried, Secretary Linda Fetherolf, Treasurer Cathy Nagle and members Tom Tilden, Chris Trapani, and Jean Hurst as they seek for God to be glorified in all their discussions and decisions they make for CEF of Schuylkill County.
30. Wed. Pray for mothers and fathers in our county to see the need for their children to hear about Jesus and to see that they get to CEF-sponsored programs and to a good church.
31. Thurs. Praise God for the financial support that many of you faithfully give to CEF of Schuylkill County.
