Pray With Us – May 2016

Over the past few months I have been reading through the Bible for the times God’s people prayed before battle. Will you join us in praying for the battle that lies ahead as we go into the mission field of Schuylkill County? The following prayer is taken from Numbers 13:30-14:10. Here’s the scene: the spies had just returned from the Land flowing with milk and honey. The people saw, touched and smelled the fruit of the land. The spies said, “It flows with milk and honey and this is it’s fruit.” What changed from the time they cut the cluster of grapes that had to be carried on a pole between two people, to the day they arrived back at camp?

Pray with us that we would remain faithful and keep our eyes on the Word of God and not become overcome by the giants that stand before us.

“Lord, Schuylkill County is a land flowing with children and surrounded by enemies who do not want them to be saved~ to hear the message of salvation. I say with Caleb, Let us; Connie, Linda, Heather, Katie, Jimmy, Mercedes, Regina, Laura, Mary, Elizabeth and myself, go up at once (schedule clubs, plan the good news day camps and youth retreat, complete training and all the other details) and occupy it, for we will be able to overcome it. Let us not focus on the enemy who would seek to stop the ministry ~ the Gospel~ or Your people from entering in and taking the land for Christ. Lord, Schuylkill County is a good land~ an exceedingly good land. Lord, find Your delight in us. Give us the courage to not rebel against You, Our LORD Jehovah. Father remove the blindness and deafness from the hearts of the children so that they may see and hear that the Lord is good. Give us the courage to “go” into the county without fear.
