1. Thu. Thank God for Janet Kramer and Lori Steffy who minister to the children through the Mailbox Club™. Pray for strength and wisdom as they answer questions and write personal notes. Pray that the children would be faithful to do their lessons.
2. Fri. Today is the last day of camp at Lewistown Valley. Pray that no child goes home without knowing Christ. Pray that each child will have the opportunity to attend a church where they will grow in their faith and knowledge of Jesus.
3. Sat. Pray for God’s protection over all our camps this summer – physically, spiritually, and emotionally.
4. Sun. “…pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ…” Colossians 4:3
5. Mon. Praise God for more than fifty Chinese children who have signed up to attend the virtual 5- Day Club® taught by our summer missionaries and staff in the evening this week. Pray that there are no technical difficulties.
6. Tue. Pray for Bobby Oravitz as he teaches the Bible lesson at the Pottsville Open Air Ministry three times every day this week: 10:30, 1:00, and 3:30. Pray for Jerusha McCarthy and Shelly as they minister to the children who attend.
7. Wed. Pray for Alexander Burian and Ellie McCarthy as they teach the Bible lesson and missionary story every evening this week at 6:15.
8. Thu. Thank God for the members of the First United Methodist Church in Pottsville who are volunteering their time, talents, and money to help with the Pottsville Open Air Ministry.
9. Fri. Praise God for Cathy Nagle who faithfully does the financial tasks for CEF®.
10. Sat. Pray for each summer missionary and staff to have boldness in sharing God’s message of salvation.
11. Sun. But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who love your salvation say continually, “Great is the Lord!” Psalm 40:16
12. Mon. Thank God for all the volunteers who are serving at the Valley View Day Camp. Pray that many children attend camp.
13. Tue. Pray for every child at camp this week to have a soft heart toward the Gospel.
14. Wed. Pray for Annie Britto, the missionary at Valley View Day Camp, as she teaches in her second language. Pray that the children would gain compassion for the children in India.
15. Thu. Praise God for His children who support the work of CEF® through their finances.
16. Fri. Praise God for our office volunteers. Over the years many people have served the Lord by stuffing the newsletter, preparing camp registration forms for mailing, stapling, counting crafts, etc.
17. Sat. Pray that the summer missionaries and staff will be renewed in strength and spirit for the second half of summer ministry.
18. Sun. For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” Isaiah 41:13
19. Mon. Good News Day Camp is at Manbeck’s E.C. Church this week. Thank God for Jean Hurst who will be driving the bus to pick up children in Pine Grove. Pray for safety for each child riding the bus.
20. Tue. Brent and Jen Hautle are camp missionaries this week. Pray that God would burden the hearts of the children for missions.
21. Wed. Pray for good weather at camp.
22. Thur. Pray for more children to call the Tel-A-Story number 570-621-9099. Praise God for Linda Cerullo who records a new story each day.
23. Fri. Pray for each child at camp to have a desire to read the Bible and know Jesus in a deeper way.
24. Sat. Pray for Linda as she prepares for Good News Club®. Pray for her as she contacts schools and volunteers.
25. Sun. “…Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.” Revelation 5:9
26. Mon. Today begins Good News Day Camp® at Christmas Pines Campground. Pray that there will be enough volunteers so that all the children who want to attend may be able.
27. Tue. Thank God for the organizations that allow us to use their facilities for camp.
28. Wed. Pray for Diane Pomroy as she shares about her ministry to the Middle East in camp this week. Pray the children will be thankful for the opportunity they have had to hear the Gospel.
29. Thu. Praise God for the godly men and women who serve on the CEF Committee: Erik Gottfried, Wendell Heisler, Linda Fetherolf, Cathy Nagle, Gale Hurst, Luke Walker, Havilah Walker, and Dana Oravitz. Pray for God’s wisdom as they make decisions for CEF of Schuylkill County.
30. Fri. Pray that many children would attend the Ashland Day Camp next week. This is the first year we are at this location.
31. Sat. Next week is the last week of camp this year. Pray for continued strength and health for Shelley, Linda, Elizabeth, Katie, and the summer missionaries.
