Meet the New Mailbox Club Lady!

Several months ago we asked you to pray for someone to replace Mrs. Kay Artz as the Mail-box Club lady. God’s timing is always perfect and He always works for the good of His people.
God raised up Mrs. Janet Kramer. Janet has been serving as a volunteer with Child Evangelism Fellowship of Schuylkill County since 1994. Janet is the wife of Dave Kramer, who is home with the Lord, and mom to Jeff, Dan, and Lori. Janet has eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Janet has been working with Kay and learning all about the Mailbox Club™ ministry. An added blessing is that Janet’s daughter, Lori Steffy, will be helping to organize all the paperwork. You may re-member a summer missionary named, Jennifer Steffy ~ Lori’s daughter. Who by the way, married Kean Riegel~ another summer missionary.
While Kay recognizes God’s answer to prayer she is also feeling a sadness. Kay truly enjoys the Mailbox Club ministry and has built many relationships through the years. She has attended weddings of former students, gone for ice cream, prayed for, answered countless questions, encouraged and challenged children who were wandering from the faith.
The Mailbox Club lessons are about discipling children, teens and adults.
According to Easton’s Bible Dictionary a disciple of Christ is one who…
1) Believes His doctrine
2) Rests on His sacrifice
3) Imbibes His Spirit
4) Imitates His example
The Mailbox Club lessons help children to come to know Christ as Savior and to grow in the Savior they profess to believe in.
Please pray for Kay, Janet and Lori as they transition.
For God’s Glory,
Shelley Hikes

Elizabeth’s Corner:

Hello all!
Things are going well for me here in the office. I LOVE teaching Good News Club! The ladies who volunteer their time in Ashland are so sweet and are very invested in the lives of the children who attend. They (the children) had so many questions that I began letting them write them down so that I could look at them throughout the week. A lot of them have very good questions about God and Jesus’ life on earth. I think my favorite question I have gotten so far was “Does God sing?”
I have also really enjoyed learning more about the new website and how it works to benefit our ministry. I’m always glad to be able to use skills I learned in college to glorify God.
On a more personal note, I’m so excited to share that I am newly engaged! Please pray for me in this new season of life as I add planning a wedding to the list of things I am doing. Please also pray for my Good News Club students, thanking God for their questions and desire to know God’s word.
Blessings,
Elizabeth Smallwood
