November 2017 Prayer and Praise
1. Wed. Today is CEF® World Day of Prayer. Pray that every country would be open to the Gospel through Good News Club®. Pray especially for an open door into North Korea.
2. Thu. Thank God for the faithfulness of Kay Artz and Danette Roberts as they grade the Mailbox ClubTM lessons and correspond with both children and adults who do the lessons. Pray that both children and adults would be faithful in doing their lesson.
3. Fri. Thank God for bus drivers, Pastor Mark Brooks and Pastor Jim Ridderhoff, who transport the children from John S. Clark Elementary School to Good News Club. Pray for safety on the road.
4. Sat. Praise for Linda Cerullo who reads a story for the Tel-A-Story® number (570-621-9099) everyday.
5. Sun. Pray for the children who receive Jesus at Good News Club but do not attend church on Sunday. Pray that they would have a way to a church that will help them grow in their faith.
6. Mon. Thank God for all the Good News Club teachers and helpers. Pray for their strength and encouragement throughout the school year.
7. Tue. Tonight Shelley teaches the Pottsville Party Club. Pray that more children from Pottsville would attend. Thank God for the volunteers who help with this club.
8. Wed. Thank God for all His people who support CEF of Schuylkill County through their prayers, giving, and volunteering.
9. Thu. Tonight is the party club held in Mahanoy City. Thank God for the children who come faithfully. Thank God for the Gottfried family who provide a meal for the children. Pray that the children would grow in their faith in Jesus.
10. Fri. Praise for CMTS: they loan us a retired school bus to use for the Released Time Good News Club® held in Pottsville. Praise for those who see that the bus is working properly.
11. Sat. Thank God for the donation of New Testaments for the teachers to use in their clubs. Pray for the students that they will desire to read their New Testaments outside of club and share Jesus with their friends.
12. Sun. This evening Shelley teaches the Gordon Party Club. Pray that many children will attend and that the children would begin attending Sunday School at Simpson United Methodist Church where the club is hosted.
13. Mon. Pray for the children who attend Good News Club to believe the Gospel message and to then grow in their understanding of the Word.
14. Tue. Pray for Shelley as she teaches TCETM classes and Jimmie Lu as she attends the classes. The class is held at the CEF office in Lancaster.
15. Wed. Pray PA State Director, Mark Wyland, will have wisdom as he leads the CEF® workers in Pennsylvania.
16. Thu. Over 100 children heard the Gospel through fall open-air evangelism. Pray that the Gospel would take root in their hearts.
17. Fri. Many children want to attend club, but their parents are reluctant to send them. Pray for parents of children in Schuylkill County to send their children to the Good News Clubs and Party Clubs in their area.
18. Sat. Pray for physical, mental, and spiritual strength for Shelley as she directs CEF of Schuylkill County. Thank God for the wisdom and abilities He has given her to serve in this capacity.
19. Sun. Pray that God’s people in Schuylkill County would be willing to host or teach a Christmas Party Club in unreached neighborhoods.
20. Mon. Pray for us to be bold in sharing the Gospel.
21. Tue. Praise God for the increase in attendance in many Good News Clubs. Pray for a spiritual awakening through the Holy Spirit in Schuylkill County.
22. Wed. Pray for unity among the administration, staff, and volunteers of CEF® worldwide so that Christ’s name would be praised!
23. Thu. Praise God for His great faithfulness to His ministry of CEF®, both in Schuylkill County and around the world.
24. Fri. Pray for Mary Gottfried, one of our summer missionaries, as she uses what she learned in her CMI training and seeks God’s will for the next step in her life.
25. Sat. Pray for Shelley, Connie, Linda, and Jimmie Lu as they prepare for the spring semester of Good News Club.
26. Sun. Pray for all our summer missionaries that God would protect them and teach them during their school year. Pray for God to work in the hearts of those He wants to be summer.
27. Mon. Pray for wisdom for CEF President Reese Kauffman. He oversees this world-wide ministry and carries a very large burden.
28. Tue Give thanks for the following men and women who serve on the committee: Pastor Bo Frey, Mr. Ray Burian, Mrs. Linda Fetherolf, Mrs. Cathy Nagle, Pastor Jesse Benack, Mr. Erik Gottfried, Mr. Wendell Heisler and Pastor Justin Whitenight. May they seek for God to be glorified in all their discussions and the decisions they make for CEF of Schuylkill County.
29. Wed. Elizabeth Smallwood, one of our summer missionaries, asks for wisdom in decisions for her future.
30. Thu. Thank God for the churches and pastors who open their doors to CEF® activities.
