April 2017 Prayer and Praise
1. Sat. Praise God for the 2017 summer missionary team: Katie Burian, Elizabeth Smallwood, Mary Gottfried, Regina Miller and Jerusha McCarthy. (As of this writing there is another young person applying to serve.)
2. Sun. Praise God for Linda Cerullo who records a new story every day for the children who call the Tel-A- Story® number 621-9099. Pray for God to bless Linda and her family for her faithful service to Him.
3. Mon. Today a monthly party club is being held at the Youth Center in Ashland. Pray for many children to attend and for their hearts to ready to receive Jesus as Savior. Pray for Jimmie Lu as she leads this club. Pray for Pastor Snyder and Shelley as they walk around Ashland meeting people and inviting children to the club.
4. Tue. Praise for the dedication of Kay Artz and Danette Roberts who grade the Bible lessons children send through the mail. Their hard work has been a blessing to many students. Pray for continued wisdom and strength for these ladies and for the children to complete the lessons without a reminder.
5. Wed. Pray for the Good News Day Camps to have full registrations.
6. Thurs. Tonight is the party club held at the First United Methodist Church, Pottsville. Pray for Shelley, Linda, Jonathan and Keith as they lead this club. Pray for many children to attend. Pray for the children to understand their need for a Savior.
7. Fri. Pray for all those involved in volunteer appreciation night being held tomorrow. It is an evening to honor and uplift our Good News Club® volunteers.
8. Sat. Praise God for the army of volunteers who make the Good News Clubs possible. Praise God for all the children who have believed in Jesus as their Savior.
9. Sun. “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” Luke 19:38 ESV Let us praise God for all He has done and will do on behalf of the children.
10. Mon. Pray for the summer missionaries as they begin to speak in churches seeking to raise support for their summer ministry with CEF®.
11. Tue. Pray for the Good News Day Camp flyers to get to all the children of Schuylkill County. (We have a big God, let’s ask Him for big results)
12. Wed. Pray for all the camps to be fully staffed.
13. Thurs. Tonight a party club is being held at the First Presbyterian Church, Mahanoy City. Pray for the Gottfried family, Keith and Linda as they lead this club. Pray for many children to come and for the Gospel to be clearly presented and for the children to understand the Message of Salvation~ choosing Jesus as their Savior.
14. Fri. “It is finished.’ and He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.” John 19:30 Praise God for the “Spirit of Truth” who is promised to all those who are in Christ.
15. Sat. “The women who had come with Him from Galilee followed and saw the tomb and how His body was laid. Then they returned and prepared spices and ointments. On the Sabbath they rested according to the commandment.” Luke 23:55-56 Pray for children who come from messed up home lives to learn to rest in Jesus.
16. Sun. Pray for the children of Schuylkill County to believe in the risen Lord and to say with Thomas, “My Lord and my God!” John 20:28
17. Mon. Pray for Shelley as she prepares for CYIATM (Christian Youth in ActionTM) pre-training. (Wordless Book teaching)
18. Tues. Tonight a party club is being held in Girardville. Pray for Nick and Kerri Weikel, Jonathan Hikes, Linda McCarthy and Shelley as they invite children. Pray for many children to attend. Praise for the Moser family who has a vision to reach Girardville with the Gospel of Christ.
19. Wed. Pray for churches to realize the importance of Good News Day Camps in building relationships with the families in their neighborhoods.
20. Thurs. Pray for the LEAD Youth Retreat preparations. Pray for pastors Dennis Snyder, Justin Whitenight, Todd Wolf, Jesse Benack and Jonathan Hikes as they teach the sessions.
21. Fri. CEF® does not have a Good News Club® in the following school districts: Minersville, North Schuylkill, St. Clair and Mahanoy Area. Pray for volunteers who would be willing to teach and staff a club.
22. Sat. Today is pre-training. Pray for summer missionary, Jerusha McCarthy and (new missionary), as they learn the Wordless Book. Pray for Shelley as she teaches the sessions.
23. Sun. Pray for the children who attended Good News Club® to find a church home where they “can grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 3:18
24. Mon. Pray for the children who do the Mailbox ClubTM lessons to make time during beautiful spring days to do their lessons and to make learning about the One True God a priority in their lives.
25. Tues. Give thanks for the following men and women who serve on the committee: Pastor Bo Frey, Pastor Mike Smith, Mrs. Linda Fetherolf, Mrs. Cathy Nagle, Pastor Jesse Benack, Mr. Ray Burian, Mr. Erik Gottfried, Mr. Wendell Heisler and Pastor Justin Whitenight. May they seek for God to be glorified in all their discussions and the decisions they make for CEF of Schuylkill County.
26. Wed. Praise God for the local churches that support this ministry through their finances, prayers and help.
27. Thurs. Pray for all the camp preparations: Songs, lessons, missions, games, crafts, teams leaders, team assistant, recreation, weather, travel, etc…
28. Fri. Pray saved children will have victory in the midst of much temptation in the world around them.
29. Sat. Today is another day of CYIATM pre-training. Today Jerusha and Regina and (new missionary) will be learning how to teach a Bible verse and how to counsel children for salvation.
30. Sun. Pray for churches to use the ministries of CEF: Good News Clubs, Party Clubs, 5-Day Clubs and Good News Day Camp to reach the families in their neighborhoods.
