May 2016 Prayer and Praise
1. Sun. Pray for Connie and Shelley as they meet with pastors from St. Clair about partnering together to reach the neighborhood children with the Gospel.
2. Mon. Pray for Shelley as she travels to Mission Central in Carlisle. This wonderful mission organization donates items for us to “sell” in the camp store. This saves CEF hundreds of dollars. Then she will be going to Richfield to help a retired missionary clean out her garage. Pray they get through all the material relieving Miss Jennifer of this burden.
3. Tues. Tonight Shelley is meeting with members of Calvary Evangelical United Methodist Church (Lewistown Valley), Tamaqua. Pray for those in attendance to have a God-given burden to reach the children with the Gospel and to disciple them in the Word of God and to do whatever it takes to see the boys and girls established in a Bible-teaching church.
4. Wed. Pray for the summer missionaries: Katie Burian, Jimmy Dietrich, Laura Gottfried, Mary Gottfried, Mercedes Miller, Regina Miller, and Elizabeth Smallwood. They are sending out support letters and will begin speaking in churches to raise support this month. Pray for them to communicate their need for prayer and finances clearly.
5. Thu. Tonight is the Party Club at First United Methodist Church, Pottsville. Pray for many children to attend. Pray for salvation for those who don’t know Christ as Savior and for those who have believed in Jesus to grow in their knowledge of God.
6. Fri. Praise for the children who are doing Bible lessons through the mail. Pray for them to continue without reminders. Pray for wisdom for Kay Artz and Danette Roberts who grade the Bible lessons. Pray for more children to sign up to receive the lessons. These lessons are a great way to encourage children to know the Lord.
7. Sat. Praise for Linda Cerullo as she faithfully records devotional stories daily for the Tel-A-Story® ministry. Pray that more children will call 570.621.9099 and that the unsaved ones who call will receive Christ.
8. Sun. Pray for the children to know that “neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)
9. Mon. Pray for all the Good News Day Camp preparations.
10. Tue. Pray for all four camp locations to be fully staffed and full of campers. 11. Wed. The camp registration forms are in the mail and out to the schools. Pray!
12. Thu. Tonight is Party Club held at the First Presbyterian Church, Mahanoy City; pray for many children to attend, for the Gottfried family, Havilah, Linda and Keith McCarthy Jr. and Rev. Morgan to have wisdom in working with the children and teens who attend this club. Pray we teach the Word of God rightly.
13. Fri. Praise God for His faithfulness to the ministry of CEF of Schuylkill County.
14. Sat. It is our heart’s desire to see all the children come to know the love that can be found at a Bible teaching church in their neighborhood. Pray for us to have the opportunity to work with the churches to reach that goal.
