Another Good News Club Story

Singing songs. Clapping hands.

Voices lifted in praise to God.

Smiling faces. Listening ears.

Hearts open to hearing the Stories of Jesus.

Hands folded. Heads bowed.

A heart’s desire lifted up unto heaven.

A second grader’s prayer at Good News Club® “Dear God, we pray for Mr. Frik. We hope he will raise enough money to buy three bicycles for the teachers.”

Dylan went on to pray for Good News Club and the salvation of the children in Africa and our club.

You see, the clubs this spring are raising money to give to Mr. Frik, the regional director of CEF® in the Southern Africa/Indian Ocean Region of Africa. The Good News Club teachers in that area walk for miles or take unreliable transportation in order to get to a club. Mr. Frik is seeking to raise money to purchase bicycles for the club teachers to use to make their trips to club easier.

Due to unreliable internet access, Mr. Frik’s traveling and teaching schedule we have been unable to find out the exact cost of a bike, but we have been told by CEF Headquarters to estimate between $65-$100 per bike.

We can learn from the openness of children when they talk to the Father. It’s no wonder Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”
