Thankfulness should be the demeaner of God’s people, and right now we have many reasons to be thankful – even though we are more than a month away from Thanksgiving.
When Shelley and I looked at the list of schools that had opened their doors for Good News Club and at our list of volunteers, we were a bit discouraged. You know from the last newsletter that we were concerned that some schools may not have Good News Clubs due to the lack of volunteers.
BUT WE ARE THANKFUL because God has raised up for us people to fill in the gaps. God has granted us 6 new volunteers (5 young ladies and one pastor) to help in our clubs! Two women who had helped in the past are returning this year. And one of our faithful teachers has volunteered to help at 2 clubs! We are so thankful for God’s provision through these willing servants!
WE ARE THANKFUL for the men and women who served GNC year after year after year.
WE ARE THANKFUL for the large attendance in our fall Volunteer Training sessions. These were the largest classes that we have had in a long time – thirty total in attendance!
WE ARE THANKFUL that God has provided Christina Moyer to come on staff. Christina (Tina) is learning how our office runs and how CEF teaches the Gospel to the children. There is much to learn, but Tina has a teachable spirit and is patient with us as we train her.
WE ARE THANKFUL for ministries and businesses who have donated candy, toys and office supplies to help CEF.
WE ARE THANKFUL for supporters who generously give so that we can pay the fees to have Good News Club in the schools!
