  1. Mon. Praise God for all the Good News Club® volunteers.
  2. Tues. Pray “that the word of the Lord may have free course and be glorified” (II Thes.3:1) through the churches.
  3. Wed. Pray for children to complete their Mailbox Club™ lessons without reminders. Praise God for Janet Kramer and Lori Steffy who grade the lessons and send each child personal notes, and of course, stickers.
  4. Thu. Pray for the summer missionaries of God’s choosing to serve this summer.
  5. Fri. Pray for the children to call the Tel-A-Story™ number: 1-888-878-8660 where they can hear a different Biblical truth story each day.
  6. Sat. Pray for the local committee: Erik Gottfried, John Racilla, Cathy Nagle, Linda Fetherolf, Gale Hurst, and Tom Tilden as they meet today with Shelley to set up a 1-and 3-year strategic plan for the ministry.
  7. Sun. Pray for the children who know Jesus to want to share their faith with others.
  8. Mon. Pray for Shelley, Linda, and Dillon as they prepare for the volunteer training class scheduled for January 16.
  9. Tue. Pray for Shelley as she has been called to Jury Duty.
  10. Wed. Pray for God to awaken the children’s hearts to the gospel and their need for salvation.
  11. Thurs. Pray for children in foster care. Pray for God to bring them to a place where they can hear the Gospel.
  12. Fri. Pray for the CEF staff as we prepare for the volunteer training class.
  13. Sat. Praise God for every individual and church that supports CEF financially.
  14. Sun. Pray for parents to register their children to attend the Spring semester of Good News Club®.
  15. Mon. Pray for Shelley as she prepares lesson helps and devotions, Linda as she studies to demonstrate a Bible lesson, and Dillon as he will be teaching a session on Leading a Child to Christ in tomorrow’s volunteer training class.
  16. Tues. Today the Volunteer Training Classes are being held at the CEF office (10:00-12 noon and 6:30-8:30 p.m.). Pray for the Good News Club volunteers to make this class a priority.
  17. Wed. Pray for churches to serve with CEF with the purpose of reaching the children in their neighborhoods with the Gospel. Many children know Bible stories, but not the truth~ that the Bible is the Story of God to bring a people to salvation.
  18. Thurs. Pray for the Prayer Summit that is May 18: That God would move in the hearts of His people to be burdened to pray for Schuylkill County.
  19. Fri. Pray for children whose parents do not want them to attend club but allow it for various reasons. Pray for the child to grow in their knowledge of God and for their faith to be strong.
  20. Sat. Pray for the CYIA™ promotional meeting that is scheduled for today (10:00-1:00). Pray that those interested in summer missions will attend this meeting.
  21. Sun. Pray for the children: “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the man who trusts in Him. (Psalm 34:8)
  22. Mon. Pray that God would provide the volunteers needed for every GNC® opportunity that is given to us. Volunteers are needed to open clubs in North Schuylkill, Minersville, Mahanoy Area, and St. Clair Elementary.
  23. Tues. Pray that the teachers would see a positive difference in the children who attend Good News Club®.
  24. Wed. Pray for children whose parents are divorced ~ many times their weeks are split between two homes and two different sets of rules.
  25. Thurs. Pray for the children to complete their Mailbox Club™ lessons without reminders.
  26. Fri. Praise God for our committee members who have given much time to improve and keep up with the office building and grounds.
  27. Sat. Pray for Shelley, Linda, and Dillon to use their time wisely, including making time to rest.
  28. Sun. Pray for Shelley, Linda, and Dillon: “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth” (2 Tim. 2:15 ESV).
  29. Mon. Pray for the club teachers as they make the final preparations for their Good News Clubs.
  30. Tues. Pray that we are a light in our neighborhood.
  31. Wed. Good News Club® begins on Monday. Pray for the children’s hearts to be open to the Gospel and for their minds to be awakened to the truth of God’s Word.
