January Prayer

1. Sun. Give glory to God for Who He is and what He accomplishes in the hearts of those who hear His Word
and receive the Gospel.
2. Mon. Pray for the Tri-Valley school district to change their policy regarding materials distribution so that Good News Club® permission slips and day camp flyers can be handed out to the children.
3. Tues. Pray for the youth who received a flyer in December regarding a CYIA™ promotional meeting. This is a time where youth who are interested in serving in summer ministry receive information regarding the CEF® of Schuylkill County summer missionary opportunities.
4. Wed. Pray for children to call the Tel-A-Story number 1-888-878-8660 or to listen online at www.18888788660.com to a Biblical truth story that is recorded each day.
5. Thu. Pray for the Good News Club® permission slips to get home to the parents and for many children to register to attend the clubs when they start the week of January 30.
6. Fri. Pray for the children who are signed up for the Mailbox Club™ lessons. Pray for them to grow in their love for Jesus and His Word. Praise God for Janet Kramer and Lori Steffy who grade the lessons the children complete.
7. Sat. Shelley is meeting with the local committee to pray about and determine a one-to-three-year strategic plan for CEF of Schuylkill County. Pray for us to be sensitive to the Spirit of God, for quality discussions, unity, and commitment to follow through.
8. Sun. God is Majestic~ Worthy of praise. “Lord, our Lord, how majestic is you name in all the earth! You
have set your glory in the heavens.” Psalm 8:1
9. Mon. Pray for more volunteers: for both Good News Day Camp and Good News Club®.
10. Tue. Praise God that He is over the affairs of man. He reigns.
11. Wed. Pray for the CEF® staff to “set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in
purity.” (1 Timothy 4:12)
12. Thu. Pray for Shelley, Jerusha, and Linda as they prepare for next week’s volunteer training class.
13. Fri. Today Shelley will be meeting over Zoom to discuss CYIA™ training school. (This is the training
summer missionaries receive in June in order to serve as summer missionaries.)
14. Sat. Pray for Shelley, Linda, Jerusha, and Elizabeth as we begin preparing for Good News Day Camp:
crafts, song videos, lessons, review games, etc.
15. Sun. Praise God for you, our praying friends. You bring our requests before the Throne of Grace, and we
are thankful.

16. Mon. Pray for Elizabeth and Kevin Garcia~ baby Garcia is due in May.
17. Tue. Today is Volunteer Training Class: 10:00-12 noon and 6:30-8:30 p.m. Both classes are the same. Pray
for many to attend and for endurance for Shelley, Linda, and Jerusha as they lead the classes.
18. Wed. Pray for our Prayer Summit that will be held on May 20. Ask God to move in the hearts of His people
to make this time of prayer a priority.
19. Thu. Praise God for His provision.
20. Fri. Pray the stories recorded on Tel-A-Story® will be helpful to children and be used to meet spiritual
needs. Tel-A-Story 888-878-8660
21. Sat. Today a meeting is being held to promote CYIA™ (Christian Youth in Action™). Pray for those in
attendance to be encouraged and for God to give them wisdom about whether they should serve with CEF of
Schuylkill County as a summer missionary.
22. Sun. Praise God! The following school districts have opened their doors to Good News Club® and are
willing to distribute the permission slips to children: Blue Mountain, Schuylkill Haven, and Pottsville (club is
held at First United Methodist Church, 330 West Market St., Pottsville on Mondays at 5:00 p.m.).
23. Mon. Pray for Shelley, Linda, Jerusha, and Elizabeth to “be imitators of God, as beloved children. And to
walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”
(Ephesians 5:1-2)
24. Tue. Pray for the northern region of the county: for God to open eyes and hearts to the need for salvation. Pray for those who belong to God to have a burden for the lost.
25. Wed. Pray for the following school district to host a Good News Club®: Mahanoy Area, Minersville, North Schuylkill, and St. Clair. Pray for the volunteers needed to start clubs in these school districts.
26. Thu. Pray for the CEF local committee: Erik Gottfried, John Racilla, Linda Fetherolf, Cathy Nagle, Gale Hurst, Dana Oravitz, and Tom Tilden.
27. Fri. Pray for us to have discernment from the Lord for the daily decisions that must be made.
28. Sat. “Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes.” Nehemiah 4:14 Keep praying!
29. Sun. Pray for God to move in the hearts of parents who do not attend church to have a burden for their
children to know the One True God and to begin attending a Bible teaching church where they can grow in “the
grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 3:18
30. Mon. Pray for children who do not live with both parents. Pray for them to have an opportunity to hear the
truth of the God who loves them and will never leave them.
31. Tues. Praise God! “Our God will fight for us.” Nehemiah 4:20
