February 2022 Prayer:
1. Tue. Pray for more children to sign up to receive the Mailbox ClubTM lessons. These lessons are free and a great way for children to learn theology and to encourage daily devotions so they can grow in their knowledge of God.
2. Wed. Pray “for children to feel connected with teachers and helpers and for discernment to sense needs and opportunities to share hope and security in Christ.” Pastor Kevin Roberts
3. Thu. Pray for CEF® and churches to pray. We must reach the children with the Gospel. Now is the time.
4. Fri. Pray “for more children to attend the Good News Club at St. John’s Friedensburg.” Connie Wright
5. Sat. Pray for the “attentiveness of children” during Good News Club. Karen Andreas
7. Mon. Good News Clubs start this week. Pray for many children to participate. Pray for the Good News Club staff to be bold in sharing the Gospel. Pray for them to have time to prepare.
8. Tue. Pray for the children’s heart to be fertile soil to receive the seed of the Gospel message. Pray for the Seed to grow and produce fruit that will last.
9. Wed. Pray for parents to desire to know the Word of God for themselves so they are able to “talk about them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.” Deuteronomy 6:7
10. Thu. “Pray for the hearts of the children to be receptive to God’s Word and how much He loves them.” – Janet Costa
11. Fri. Pray for the CYIATM (Christian Youth in Action) committee. They will be meeting on Zoom to prepare for the upcoming summer ministries. Pray for like mindedness as they make plans for the training of the youth that will gather in June from across the state of PA.
12. Sat. TCE Level One is being held in the CEF office today. Pray for Brenda Smith as she travels from
Delaware County to help Shelley instruct the course. Pray for the students to grasp the method of sharing the Gospel using the Wordless Book.
13. Sun. Pray “for children to come to Good News Club and for God to use me for His glory.” Fran

14. Mon. Pray for parents to understand that God commands them to teach God’s Word to their children. “Now this is the commandment… that the LORD your God commanded me (Moses) to teach you, that you may do them… that you may fear the LORD your God… by keeping all His statutes and His commandments, which I command you, all the days of your life, and that your days may be long.” Deuteronomy 6:1-2
15. Tue. Pray for Linda, Elizabeth, Jerusha, and Shelley as they prepare for the volunteer banquet, worship and prayer summit, the hiring of summer missionaries, and Good News Day Camp.
16. Wed. Pray for the “Tri-Valley Good News Club and newly organized multi-church youth group~ SYNK (Tri-Valley Area) Tom Kroh
17. Thu. Pray for the children. We are seeing hearts hardened to the Gospel. Pray according to Jeremiah 31:33 for the Lord to “put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts.”
18. Fri. Pray “that the kids and their parents go to church.” Pastor Jonathan Hikes
19. Sat. The second week of TCE is today. Pray for Dave Henry as he is traveling from Greater Lehigh to help Shelley instruct the course. Pray for the students as they share their Wordless Book practicums, learn how to teach a Bible verse, and begin the Bible lesson classes.
20. Sun. Praise God that in these changing times God says, “I the LORD do not change.” Malachi 3:6
21. Mon. Pray for our children, they are hungry for the Word of God and they are starving. “Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the night watches! Pour out your heart like water before the presence of the Lord! Lift your hands to Him for the lives of your children, who faint for hunger at the head of every street.” Lamentations 2:19
22. Tue. “Pray for the kids at St. John’s Reformed Church to learn the love of Jesus and to take His light out into their world.” Debra Marbarger
23. Wed. Pray for Christians to volunteer to serve at Good News Day Camp this summer. More volunteers are needed if we are going to reach more children with the Gospel.
24. Thu. The committee meets tonight at 7 p.m. Please pray for unity and wisdom as they make decisions for CEF of Schuylkill County. Committee members are Chairman~ Mr. Erik Gottfried, Vice Chair~ Mrs. Gale Hurst, Treasurer~ Mrs. Cathy Nagle, Secretary~ Mrs. Linda Fetherolf, Members~ Dana Oravitz, and Mr. John Racilla.
25. Fri. “Pray for there to always be an open spot for the bus to park. This is used to transport the children from the Laurel Blvd. area to First United Methodist Church, Pottsville. Praise God for the many people from the church who help with the club.” Jerusha McCarthy
26. Sat. Praise God for the children doing Bible lessons through the mail; pray for them to continue without reminders. Pray for God to give wisdom to Janet Kramer who grades many lessons every month and write notes of encouragement to each student.
27. Sun. “Pray that nothing would keep the children from attending Good News Club in Minersville.” Linda McCarthy
28. Mon. Praise God for Jean Hurst who drives the bus for the Pottsville Good News Club.
