September 2021 – prayer &; praise
1. Wed. Praise God for Linda Cerullo who reads a story for the Tel-A-Story® number (570-621-9099)
everyday.
2. Thu. Pray for more Good News Club® volunteers.
3. Fri. Pray for someone to drive the bus for street ministry in Pottsville.
4. Sat. Thank God for Janet Kramer. Pray for her as she grades the Mailbox ClubTM lessons and corresponds
with both children and adults who do the lessons. Pray that both children and adults would be faithful in doing
their lesson.
5. Sun. Pray for the children who attended Good News Day Camp to make having a quiet time with God a
priority in their lives.
6. Mon. Pray that the children who participated in camp will have the opportunity to attend a Bible teaching
church.
7. Tue. Pray for CEF® staff from all around the state as we travel to Manns Choice, PA for a few days of
meetings and fellowship.
8. Wed. Thank God for all His people who support CEF® of Schuylkill County through their prayers, giving,
and volunteering.
9. Thu. Pray for us to be bold in sharing the Gospel.
10. Fri. Pray for the persecuted church. Pray for them, by God’s grace, to persevere to the end.
11. Sat. Pray for God to get the Good News Club® flyers to the children. There are several school districts that
do not send any outside flyers home with the children.
12. Sun. Praise God for all the volunteers who have a burden for the children of Schuylkill County and have
said, “yes!” when God called them to help with this ministry.
13. Mon. Pray for Shelley, Linda, Jerusha, and Elizabeth to be “filled with the Holy Spirit…speak(ing) the
word of God with boldness.” Acts 4:31
14. Tue. Pray for Shelley, Linda, and Jerusha as they prepare for Volunteer Training Class.
15. Wed. Praise God for how He gifted Elizabeth in video design. The two favorite camp videos were designed
by Elizabeth using songs from Sovereign Grace Music.
16. Thu. Pray for Shelley, Linda, Jerusha, and Elizabeth to be grounded in the Word of God, “so that Christ
may dwell in your hearts through faith~ that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to
comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of
Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:17-19
17. Fri. Pray for Jerusha as she prepares to travel to Nicaragua on a short-term mission trip to teach English as a
second language.
18. Sat. Praise God ~ He is omnipresent.
Jeremiah 23:24 “Can a man hide himself in hiding places So I do not see him?” declares the LORD “Do I not
fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the LORD.
19. Sun. Pray for the schools to remain open to Good News Club and for the CDC guidelines to remain loose so
that it is not a requirement to wear a mask during club.
20. Mon. Today is volunteer training class. Pray for many volunteers to attend.
21. Tue. Pray for the volunteers as they prepare for Good News Club.
22. Wed. Praise God for His great faithfulness to His ministry of CEF®, both in Schuylkill County and around
the world.
23. Thu. Give thanks for the following men and women who serve on the committee: Erik Gottfried, Wendell
Heisler, Linda Fetherolf, Cathy Nagle, Gale Hurst, Dana Oravitz, John Racilla, Luke Walker, and Havilah Walker.
May they seek for God to be glorified in all their discussions and the decisions they make for CEF of Schuylkill
County. Thank God for the churches and pastors who open their doors to CEF activities.
24. Fri. Pray for a bus driver.
25. Sat. Pray for the summer missionaries as they return to school or fall jobs: Eliana McCarthy is working at
Cake Pros in Schuylkill Haven, Katie Burian is a teacher at Upper Dauphin, Jerusha McCarthy is working with
CEF and then going on a mission’s trip, Bobby Oravitz is in his 3rd year at Messiah College, and Xander Burian
is a Junior at Tri Valley School District.
26. Sun. Pray for the children to sign up to attend Good News Club.
27. Mon. Pray for Shelley, Linda, Jerusha, and Elizabeth to not “…cease in teaching and preaching Jesus as
the Christ.” Acts 5:42
28. Tue Pray for the children to call the Tel-A-Story number. This is a safe place where the children can hear a
short biblical truth story each day. 570-621-5099
29. Wed. Pray for the children who do the Mailbox ClubTM lessons to make time during the week to do their
lessons and to make learning about the One True God a priority in their lives.
30. Thu. Pray for more Good News Club volunteers.
