Prayer Calendar – December 2020

1. Tue. Pray for more children to sign up to receive the Mailbox Club™ lessons. These lessons are free and a great way for children to learn theology and to encourage daily devotions so they can grow in their knowledge of God.
2. Wed. Praise for Linda Cerullo as she faithfully records devotional stories daily for the Tel-A-Story® ministry. Pray for more children to call 570-621-9099 and for the unsaved to receive Christ.
3. Thu. Pray for CEF® and churches to pray. We must reach the children with the Gospel. Now is the time.
4. Fri. Praise God that in these changing times God says, “I the LORD do not change.” Malachi 3:6
5. Sat. We are mailing gift bags to all the children who have been a part of a CEF ministry. Pray for God to use this outreach to awaken people to their need for the True and Living God.
7. Mon. This is the last week of the fall Good News Clubs. Pray for the children who attend to desire God. Pray for God to work in their hearts causing them to remember His Word~ His Story.
8. Tue. Pray for our children, they are hungry for the Word of God and they are starving. “Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the night watches! Pour out your heart like water before the presence of the Lord! Lift your hands to Him for the lives of your children, who faint for hunger at the head of every street.”
Lamentations 2:19
9. Wed. Pray for more people to host Good News Clubs so that the children can hear of the Savior, Jesus Christ who, “…took them in His arms and blessed them, laying His hands on them.” Mark 10:16
10. Thu. Ask God to speak to the hearts of the families who will be receiving an evangelistic video. The video are being mailed to the families of the children with whom we ministered to through camp and clubs.
11. Fri. CEF staff throughout the state of Pennsylvania is traveling to Lewistown for a time of prayer and fellowship. Pray for safety and good health.
12. Sat. Pray for parents to “teach them (the Word of God) diligently to your children.” Deuteronomy 6:7
13. Sun. Pray for parents to desire to know the Word of God for themselves so that they are able to “talk about them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.” Deuteronomy 6:7
14. Mon. Pray for parents to understand that God commands them to teach God’s Word to their children. “Now this is the commandment… that the LORD your God commanded me (Moses) to teach you, that you may do them… that you may fear the LORD your God… by keeping all His statutes and His commandments, which I command you, all the days of your life, and that your days may be long.” Deuteronomy 6:1-2
15. Tue. Pray for people to have a burden for the children.
16. Wed. Pray for the children. We are seeing hearts hardened to the Gospel. Pray according to Jeremiah 31:33 for the Lord to “put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts.”
17. Thu. The committee meets tonight at 7 p.m. Please pray for unity and wisdom as they make decisions for CEF of Schuylkill County. Committee members are: Chairman~ Erik Gottfried, Vice Chair~ Wendell Heisler, Treasurer~ Mrs. Cathy Nagle, Secretary~ Mrs. Linda Fetherolf, Members~ Mrs. Gale Hurst, Dana Oravitz, Mr. Luke Walker, and Mrs. Havilah Walker.
18. Fri. Pray for Shelley, Linda, Jimmie Lu, and Elizabeth to be single-hearted. “Blessed are the single-hearted, for they shall enjoy much peace. If you refuse to be hurried and pressed, if you stay your soul on God, nothing can keep you from that clearness of spirit which is life and peace. In that stillness you will know what His will is.” ― Amy Carmichael
19. Sat. The harvest is ripe. Pray for children to sign-up for Good News Club® LIVE! and for in-person Good News Clubs which will be starting up again the first week of February.
20. Sun. Pray for Linda, Jimmie Lu, Elizabeth, and Shelley to know “Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” Ephesians 3:20
21. Mon. Praise God, “I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him. And to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom one that shall not be destroyed.” Daniel 7:13-14 ~Pray for us to rest in this truth.
22. Tue. Praise God for the children doing Bible lessons through the mail; pray for them to continue without reminders. Pray for God to give wisdom to Janet Kramer who grades many lessons every month and write notes of encouragement to each student.
23. Wed. Pray for boldness to walk through new doors of ministry.
24. Thu. Pray for God’s people to know the joy of salvation which is not affected by outside circumstances. God has said, “Keep your life free from the love of money (or anything that takes His place) and be content with what you have, for He has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ So we can confidently say, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?’” Hebrews 13:5-6
25. Fri. Merry Christmas!
26. Sat. Pray for God to send the children to CEF ministry locations.
27. Sun. Pray for CEF staff and volunteers to be bold in sharing the Gospel and to not worry about who is offended. 1 Corinthians 1:18 & 23 “For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” “but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles.”
28. Mon. Pray for children in foster care and/or guardianship to know the love of the Father, a love that saves through Christ the Son.
29. Tues. Pray for God to strengthen grandparents and great-grandparents who are raising children. Pray for them to be a strong witness for the Lord Jesus Christ.
30. Wed. Pray for Mark Wyland, CEF® state director, as he leads the ministry in Pennsylvania.
31. Thu. Praise God! He makes all things new.
