October 2017 Prayer and Praise
1. Sun. Praise God for all the faithful volunteers. It takes many people working together for God’s glory to reach the neighborhood children.
2. Mon. The fall Good News Club® begins this week. Pray!

3. Tues. Tonight is the Party Club at First United Methodist Church, Pottsville. Pray for many children to attend. Pray for salvation for those who don’t know Christ as Savior and for those who have believed in Jesus to grow in their knowledge of God.
4. Wed. “Pray for the children to be excited to start Good News Club.” Cathy Nagle “We are thankful for another year of CEF Good News Clubs and pray for those children who are returning and for many more to join.” Don Billet
5. Thu. Praise for Linda Cerullo as she faithfully records devotional stories daily for the Tel-A-Story® ministry. Pray that more children will call 570.621.9099 and that the unsaved ones who call will receive Christ.
6. Fri. Praise for the children who are doing Bible lessons through the mail. Pray for them to continue without reminders. Pray for wisdom for Kay Artz and Danette Roberts who grade the Bible lessons. Pray for more children to sign up to receive the lessons. These lessons are a great way to encourage children to know the Lord.
7. Sat. Shelley will be sharing the Gospel at Kimmel’s E. Free Church, Orwigsburg during their fall festival. Pray for open hearts to God’s salvation story.
8. Sun. Linda, Jerusha and Ellie McCarthy will be sharing the Gospel at the Palo Alto playground during the Mountainside Bible Church fall festival. Pray for open hearts to God’s salvation story.
9. Mon. Pray for “more volunteers to help at Blue Mountain Elementary West.” Lori Steffy
“Pray that God be glorified as I help St. John’s Reformed seek a new pastor.” Larry Doughan
10. Tue. Pray for “family issues.” Bo Frey
Pray for “unity in the church- boldness to proclaim the Gospel.” Harry Davis
11. Wed. Pray for “wife and Phil.” Tim Christman
Pray that we would “see all the children the way God sees them.” Aimee Zimmerman
12. Thu. Tonight is Party Club held at the First Presbyterian Church, Mahanoy City; pray for many children to attend, for the Gottfried family, Linda and Keith McCarthy Jr. to have wisdom in working with the children and teens who attend this club. Pray we teach the Word of God rightly.
13. Fri. Pray “more children will come to know Jesus as their personal Savior.” Joan Adolphson
14. Sat. Pray “for strength to finish well.” Elizabeth Reed
Praise God for His faithfulness to the ministry of CEF of Schuylkill County.
15. Sun. Pray “the boys and girls to be open to the teaching and to listen well to the adult leaders.” Patsy Krammes
Praise God for you, our praying friends. You bring our requests before the Throne of Grace, and we are thankful.
16. Mon. Pray for Jimmie Lu as she is taking the TCE Level OneTM course held in Lancaster. Pray for her safety, strength and understanding of the method CEF uses to share the Gospel with children. The class is each Tuesday morning until November 21.
17. Tue. “Pray for Korea, continued good work of CEF, the government, our leaders, Puerto Rico, the Pinedas” (who are CEF missionaries to Latin America). Marjorie Rowe Pray “to reach the kids of Haven Elementary with the truth of God’s Word.” Ted Rathman
18. Wed. “May those children from broken homes realize the greatness of God’s love.” Gale Hurst

20. Fri. “Pray for the children who come to Good News Club to accept Jesus as Savior.” Nancy Guitas
21. Sat. Pray the stories recorded on Tel-A-Story® will be helpful to children and be used to meet spiritual needs.
22. Sun. Pray for the Holy Spirit to remind the children who live between two sets of parents that Jesus will never leave them, nor forsake them. (Hebrews 13:5)
23. Mon. “Please help the older children in club especially to have a good attitude and soft hearts.” Julie Frey
24. Tue. The committee meets tonight. 30. Mon. Pray for a “teacher for potential pre-K through grade 2 would come forward.” Joann Birster
31. Tues. Praise God for the army of volunteers who work very hard and give so much to reach the children of the county with the Gospel.
