May 2018 Prayer Calendar

1. Tue. Tonight is the party club held at First United Methodist Church, Pottsville. Praise God for Jim and Cindy Patton and Pastor John Wallace who work hard to invite the children to come to the club. Pray for parent’s hearts to be burdened for their children to know the Truth that is found in the Bible.

2. Wed. Pray for more children to sign up to receive the Mailbox ClubTM lessons. These lessons are free and a great way for children to learn about the Bible and to encourage daily devotions.

3. Thu. Pray for Elizabeth Smallwood, Gina Miller, Jerusha McCarthy and Mackenzie Werez, our team of summer missionaries, to have hearts sensitive to the still small voice of the Lord. Pray for them to have boldness as they speak in churches raising prayer and financial support.

4. Fri. Praise for Linda Cerullo as she faithfully records devotional stories daily for the Tel-A-Story® ministry. Pray for more children to call 570-621-9099 and for the unsaved to receive Christ.

5. Sat. Praise for the ministry of Christian Missionary Technical Services (CMTS) who allow CEF to use their bus for the Good News Club® held from the John S. Clarke Elementary School.

6. Sun. Thank the Lord for Pastor Mark Brooks who drives the bus for the Pottsville Released-Time Good News Club®.

7. Mon. Pray for every camp to have full registration, so that many children will have the opportunity to hear the Gospel and “believe in (their) heart that God raised (Jesus) from the dead and …be saved.” Romans 10:9

8. Tue. Pray for every camp to fully staffed: “Everyone who is willing is to bring the LORD an offering…” Exodus 35:5 The result was “…they already had more than enough to do all the work.” Exodus 36:7

9. Wed. Pray for Connie, Linda, Jimmie Lu and Shelley to know “Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” (Ephesians 3:20)

10. Thu. Tonight is the party club held in Mahanoy City; Pray for Linda, Keith Jr., and the Gottfried family as they use the party club as an extension of their ministry to the families in Mahanoy City.

11. Fri. Pray for the children who have believed in Jesus as their Savior. Pray for their parents to find a church home where they, as a family, can grow to know Jesus better.

12. Sat. We praise God for you, who fervently pray for Child Evangelism Fellowship of Schuylkill County.

13. Sun. Praise God for His faithfulness to this ministry. Pray for sensitivity to the Lordship of Jesus as we work together to reach the children with the Gospel.

14. Mon. Praise God for office volunteers: Doris Faust, Julie Frey, Carol Hoy, Nancy Guitas, Linda Schwartz, Janet Kramer and Barb Wetzel. They give their time to prepare the newsletter for mailing, counting Good News Day Camp registration forms, preparing crafts, etc. THANK YOU!

15. Tue. Pray for the staff as they balance ministry, family life and work. Pray strength of body, soul and spirit to carry on.

16. Wed. Continue to lift up the summer missionaries as they speak in churches and send out letters requesting prayer and financial support. (Elizabeth Smallwood, Gina Miller, Jerusha McCarthy and Mackenzie Werez)

17. Thu. Praise for the team of pastors, from different denominations, (Pastor Todd Wolfe, Pastor Jonathan Hikes, Pastor Justin Whitenight, Pastor Jesse Benack and Dillon Wertman) who are working together for the LEAD Youth Retreat to be held in June. We are meeting today to finalize the retreat plans.

18. Fri. Pray for local pastors to see the value of the Good News Clubs being held in their local elementary schools. Pray they will see this as an opportunity for their church to minister to the family helping them to grow in their relationship with Jesus.

19. Sat. The harvest is ripe. Pray for clubs to begin in the following elementary schools: Gillingham Charter School, Mahanoy Area, Minersville Area, North Schuylkill and St. Clair.

20. Sun. Pray for the party club being held at Simpson United Methodist Church, Gordon tonight 6:30. Pray for Jimmie Lu as she teaches the Bible lesson. Pray for the children’s hearts to be receptive to the Gospel message.

21. Mon. Praise the Lord for the churches and individuals who faithfully support CEF financially.

22. Tue. The committee meets tonight at 7 p.m. Please pray for unity and wisdom as they make decisions for CEF of Schuylkill County. Committee members are: Pastor Bo Frey, Mr. Ray Burian, Mrs. Cathy Nagle, Mrs. Linda Fetherolf, Pastor Jesse Benack, Mr. Erik Gottfried, Mr. Wendell Heisler and Pastor Justin Whitenight.

23. Wed. Praise God for the gift of His Son, Jesus.

24. Thu. Pray for God to move in the hearts of parents~ moving them to sign their children up for Good News Day Camp, a place where children can grow in the knowledge of the One True God.

25. Fri. Praise for the children who are doing Bible lessons through the mail; pray for them to continue without reminders. Pray for wisdom for Kay Artz who grades many lessons every month and writes notes of encouragement to each student.

26. Sat. Pray for all the details needed to be completed for Good News Day Camp: Bible lessons, missions, crafts, agendas, team lists, supplies, games, camp staff (paid and volunteer), music, opening, closing, etc.

27. Sun. Pray for hearts to be burdened for the children in the neighborhood; for people to make a sacrifice of time and/or finances to provide transportation for the children to and from camp.

28. Mon. Pray for the hearts of the children to be receptive to the Message of Salvation.

29. Tues. Praise God for the many supporting churches throughout Schuylkill County. Praise for the many faithful prayer warriors who keep CEF of Schuylkill County before the Throne of Grace.

30. Wed. Pray for Mark Wyland, CEF® state director, as he leads the ministry in Pennsylvania. He also serves as district director over Connecticut, New York and Delaware.

31. Thu. Pray for the buses to be filled (Pine Grove to Rock and Tremont to Primrose)
