- Tue. The summer missionaries are holding a 4-Day Club this week at Bethesda EC Church in Schuylkill Haven. Please pray that many children would come out and invite their friends. Pray especially for the new summer missionaries who are teaching for the first time this week.
- Wed. Pray for more children to sign up to receive the Mailbox Club™ lessons. These lessons are free and a great way for children to learn theology and to encourage daily devotions so they can grow in their knowledge of God.
- Thu. Pray for someone who has an interest in learning website design and promotion to contact Shelley. We need someone to take over that part of the ministry.
- Fri. Pray for our country, that there would be a spirit of revival, a turning back to God. Pray that more opportunities would open to share the Gospel with children who have never heard.
- Sat. Pray that God would keep the doors open to have Good News Clubs® in the schools. Pray that more schools would open their doors and that more individuals would volunteer to teach and help.
- Sun. “The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” James 5:16b
- Mon. Pray for the Day Camp at Vally View Park this week. Pray that the camp would be full. Tri-Valley School District will not distribute our Day Camp or Good News Club flyers, so we have slowly seen attendance in these activities decrease. Please pray that the school board would change their position on handing out our flyers through the school.
- Tue. Pray for the safety of all the children at camp.
- Wed. Praise the Lord for Janet Kramer, the “Mailbox Lady”. Janet grades the Mailbox club lessons and sends the children personal notes and prizes. Pray for campers to join the Mailbox club and faithfully do the lessons. Thank God for Lori, Janet’s daughter, who helps her mother with all the paperwork involved in the Mailbox Club.
- Thu. Pray for the hearts of the children at camp to be ready and willing to receive the Gospel. Pray for the believing children to desire to grow in their faith.
- Fri. Pray for the children who do not attend church to have the opportunity to attend a church where they can grow in their faith.
- Sat. Pray for children to call the Tel-A-Story number 1-888-878-8660 or to listen online at www.18888788660.com to a Biblical truth story that is recorded each day.
- Sun. “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.” James 4:8
- Mon. This week, Day Camp is at Manbeck’s EC church in Rock. This is usually the hottest week of camp. Pray for stamina and cheerfulness for the staff and volunteers despite the heat.
- Tue. Pray for safety for the children at camp.
- Wed. Pray for the Holy Spirit to awaken the children to their need for salvation.
- Thu. Pray for men and women who have a burden to see children come to Christ to pray about joining the CEF® local committee.
- Fri. Thank God for all the faithful volunteers who make it possible to have Good News Day Camp.
- Sat. Pray for the health and stamina of Shelley and the summer missionaries. They have 2 more weeks of camp to finish out the summer. These can often be the two hardest weeks of camps. Pray for a restful weekend and refreshment to finish the course.
- Sun. “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright.” Psalms 20:7-8
- Mon. Good News Day Camp at Christmas Pines Campground begins today. Pray for the campers to have hearts that are ready to be changed by God’s Word.
- Tue. Pray for the CEF ® state board as they seek to hire a new state director.
- Wed. Praise God for the volunteers who help at camp. Many of them are young, and this may be their first year. Pray that their experience as a volunteer will help them to grow in their faith.
- Thu. Give thanks for the following men and women who serve on the committee: Chairman Erik Gottfried, Secretary Linda Fetherolf, Treasurer Cathy Nagle and members Tom Tilden, Chris Trapani, and Jean Hurst as they seek for God to be glorified in all their discussions and decisions they make for CEF of Schuylkill County.
- Fri. Pray for children who have Bibles to read them!
- Sat. As we look ahead to the Good News Clubs, pray that our volunteers from last year would be willing to serve again this year. Pray that new individuals will see the spiritual needs of the children and volunteer to help at Good News Club.
- Sun. “As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.” Psalm 16:2
- Mon. Today begins the last week of service for our summer missionaries this summer. Pray that God would use them in the lives of many children this week.
- Tues. Pray for the children who come from unstable home situations to grasp the love of a Heavenly Father.
- Wed. Pray for mothers and fathers in our county to see the need for their children to hear about Jesus and to see that they get to CEF-sponsored programs and to a good church.
- Thurs. Praise God for the financial support that many of you faithfully give to CEF of Schuylkill County.
