January 2020 Prayer Calendar

1. Wed. Praise God for Linda Cerullo who reads a story for the Tel-A-Story® number (570-621-9099) everyday.

2. Thu. Thank God for the faithfulness of Kay Artz as she grades the Mailbox ClubTM lessons and corresponds with both children and adults who do the lessons. Pray that both children and adults would be faithful in doing their lesson.

3. Fri. Ask God to raise up summer missionaries for this year who love the Lord God and have a desire to serve Him.

4. Sat. Pray for God to open the eyes of parent’s hearts so they “see” their children’s need for Jesus.

5. Sun. Pray for the children who have received Jesus at Good News Club® but do not attend church on Sunday. Pray they would have a way to a church that will help them grow in their faith.

6. Mon. Pray for us to be bold in sharing the Gospel.

7. Tue. Preparations for the summer ministries have begun. Pray for wisdom and clarity in making decisions.

8. Wed. Thank God for all His people who support CEF® of Schuylkill County through their prayers, giving, and volunteering.

9. Thu. Tonight is the party club held in Mahanoy City. Thank God for the children who come faithfully. Thank God for the Gottfried family who provide a meal for the children. Pray that the children would grow in their faith in Jesus. Pray for Linda, Keith and Katia McCarthy as they teach and counsel the children about Jesus.

10. Fri. Praise God for Kimmel’s E. Free Church: they loan us a retired school bus to use for the Released Time Good News Club® held in Pottsville. Praise for those who see that the bus is working properly.

11. Sat. Pray for the Good News Club® spring semester permission slips to get into the hands of the children and then for the parents to sign their children up to attend.

12. Sun. Praise God for all the volunteers who have a burden for the children of Schuylkill County and have said, “yes!” when God called them to help with this ministry.

13. Mon. Pray for all the volunteer training class preparations. There are many details to remember.

14. Tue. Pray for the volunteer training classes held this morning and evening to be well attended and for those who participate to be edified. Pray for Shelley, Linda, Jimmie Lu and Elizabeth as they lead these classes.

15. Wed. Lift up thanks to God for raising up Wesley Gehman, who is the owner of Christ Link ministry. Wesley spent many hours optimizing our website ~ all for free.

16. Thu. Pray for Shelley, Linda, Jimmie Lu and Elizabeth to be grounded in the Word of God, “so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith~ that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:17-19

17. Fri. Pray for Connie Wright as she adjusts to no longer being on staff with CEF, but serving as a volunteer.

18. Sat. Pray for Shelley, Linda, Jimmie Lu and Elizabeth to use the cold winter weeks to spend more time in God’s Word, studying, praying and worshiping our Lord~ going deeper in our walk with Him.

19. Sun. Pray for the children to remember the Bible truths they were taught in the fall during Good News Club.

20. Mon. Pray for the Party club that meets in Simpson United Methodist Church, Gordon. Pray for the children of Gordon to attend. Pray for Jimmie Lu and Susan Hocking as they lead this club.

21. Tue. Pray for unity among the administration, staff, and volunteers of CEF® worldwide so that Christ’s name would be praised!

22. Wed. Praise God for His great faithfulness to His ministry of CEF®, both in Schuylkill County and around the world.

23. Thu. Give thanks for the following men and women who serve on the committee: Erik Gottfried, Wendell Heisler, Linda Fetherolf, Mrs. Cathy Nagle, Gale Hurst, Dana Oravitz, Luke and Havilah Walker, and Pastor Justin Whitenight. May they seek for God to be glorified in all their discussions and the decisions they make for CEF of Schuylkill County. Thank God for the churches and pastors who open their doors to CEF activities.

24. Fri. Pray for the Good News Day Camp ministry. Pray for each week to have a full staff of volunteers.

25. Sat. Praise God ~ He is immutable, He does not change. In this ever changing world, let’s rejoice that God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

26. Sun. CEF® does not have a Good News Club® in the following school districts: Minersville, North Schuylkill, St. Clair and Mahanoy Area. Pray for volunteers who would be willing to teach and staff a club.

27. Mon. Pray for wisdom for CEF President Reese Kauffman. He oversees this world-wide ministry and carries a very large burden.

28. Tue Pray for the children who attended Good News Club® to find a church home where they “can grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 3:18

29. Wed. Pray for the children who do the Mailbox ClubTM lessons to make time during snowy cold winter days to do their lessons and to make learning about the One True God a priority in their lives.

30. Thu. Pray for the Good News Clubs to have full attendance. 31. Fri. Spring semester Good News Clubs begin next week. Pray!
