I would like to introduce to you Christina (Tina) Moyer. Tina came on as staff with CEF® in August. She and her family are new to Schuylkill County, having moved from Hanover, PA in July when her husband, Ed, took the position of Youth Director at Bethesda E.C. Church. They have two children: Hannah (7) and Noah (12).
This summer Tina heard about our Good News Day Camps and sent Hannah to camp. When she heard that we needed volunteers for the Auburn camp, Tina quickly volunteered. Before this summer, she had not heard of CEF®. However, she is learning the ministry quickly and has been a great help in our clubs and at the office.
Tina has been helping with the Shenandoah and Blue Mountain Elementary West clubs. After the first week she remarked how much she enjoyed the clubs and was excited to be able to teach also. Knowing the preparation that goes into each club, Shelley began to teach Tina how to study for a lesson. After a few weeks Tina was ready to teach her first lesson. She did a fantastic job! Now she has taught several lessons and is learning the other parts of the club. In January she will attend a TCETM class.
In addition to helping at the clubs, Tina is learning the different parts of running the office. She has become independent in running the newsletter mailing. She is learning how the lending library is organized. Most importantly, she is willing and teachable for any task.
Tina has a heart for all people, not just children, to hear about Jesus. She often looks outside the box to find ways to reach people. We are blessed to have Tina on staff. I hope you get an opportunity to meet her in person soon!
~Linda
