Here We Are Again!
Like Winnie the Pooh when he was lost in the Hundred Acre Wood and kept finding himself at the same sand pit, we at CEF have come full circle and are at the same place of decision we were in the spring: how to bring the Gospel to the children in the midst of COVID 19.
The response to the summer 5-Day Club® Online was very encouraging. After much prayer and thought, we have decided to continue using Zoom to bring Good News Club to the children. The days and times of these clubs will soon be on our website.
In addition, we feel there is a unique opportunity to come alongside churches in helping families where the children must do all or some of their schooling online because of COVID restrictions. Many children do not have internet access or are being raised by parents or grandparents who need help with their child’s online schooling. Here is an opportunity for the church and CEF to partner in ministering to our community.
Some local churches are considering opening their facility to help these children for some hours during each school week. In addition to the help the children will get with their schoolwork and internet service, they will also be able to attend a Good News Club® taught by CEF® volunteers and staff. Parents will be made aware that their child will not only receive help with their studies but will also be participating in GNC.
So please pray for us as we work out all the details. Pray for volunteers to help at the churches involved.
