Are All the Children In?
I think ofttimes as the night draws nigh
Of an old house on the hill,
Of a yard all wide and blossom-starred
Where the children played at will.
And when the night at last came down,
Hushing the merry din,
Mother would look around and ask,
“Are all the children in?’
‘Tis many and many a year since then,
And the old house on the hill
No longer echoes to childish feet,
And the yard is still, so still,
But I see it all as the shadows creep,
And though many the years have been,
Even now, I can hear my mother ask,
“Are all the children in?”
I wonder if, when the shadows fall
On the last short, earthly day,
When we say goodbye to the world outside,
All tired with our childish play,
When we meet the Lover of boys and girls,
Who died to save them from sin,
Will we hear Him ask as mother did
“Are all the children in?

As you know, our goal is to see that all the children are in the Heavenly Kingdom when God’s trumpet sounds on that glorious day! But sadly, fewer parents today seem concerned about whether their children will be safe in Heaven. They are so busy seeing that the children are enjoying their time of “childish play” that they forget there will be a final calling in. We see this by the low priority that parents place on educating their children in God’s truth.
However, not all parents are unconcerned. In the past few weeks we have had several parents tell us that Good News Club® has opened up spiritual conversation between parent and child. We rejoice to see that when club is over, the training continues in the home.
Yet, while we are thrilled to hear these reports from parents, our hearts are sad when we think of the many families who could be participating and are not.
Do you have children, grandchildren, or neighbors who could attend a GNC® through Zoom or in person? Please invite them! Information about these clubs is on our website. Children from anywhere (not just Schuylkill County) can participate in our Good News Club® LIVE! .
Please! Help us to see that all the children are in!
With sincerity,
Linda
