Would you like a peek into what 5-Day Club® LIVE! has been like for Shelley, Elizabeth, and our summer missionaries? There were a few glitches with the technology, but God has been faithful through it all. The things I am sharing came from a journal that the summer missionaries kept during the summer.
Enjoy!
Thoughtful Quotes from the children:
How big is God?
I wish God were at our club.
Why did Jesus have to die to for-give sins?
Did these [stories of Jesus] really happen?
Fun Conversation :
Teacher: Do you want to hear about the spies? (story of Rahab and Joshua)
Student: I’ve already heard it. But I’ll hear it again because sometimes when I read a book I already read I think, “Wow! I missed this part.” So I’ll listen again.
We like to know what the children enjoy about club. Some have told us – the review games, or the Bible lessons. Others show us in the way they respond. We’ve included puppets in club and the children love them!
But most know they are only puppets. As one girl said, They’re not real, we saw the missionaries crawl under the curtain.
Another favorite of the clubs is “Sweep”, a character played by Bobby Oravitz. Sweep was
brought into camp last summer as someone to cheer on the children during the review game. His character has developed quite a bit this year. One child remarked that he would make a great addition to the circus. When the other missionaries were lamenting Sweep’s interruptions to the club, one child said, I know how to get rid of Mr. Sweep. Lock the door!
There has been positive feedback from parents wanting to sign up their children for more than one week. But most of all we have loved hearing these comments from the children:
Is this the last day?
Next year you should have it two weeks.
I wish this were a month!
I have been telling my best friend about Jesus!

We appreciate the support you have shown through you prayers and finances!
With thankfulness,
