1. Sat. Praise God for our 2024 team of summer missionaries and summer staff: Amy Hautle, Christopher Hautle, Anne Centeleghe, Grace Newswanger, Katie Burian, and Jerusha McCarthy.
2. Sun. Pray for children to call the Tel-A-Story® number, 1-888-878-8660. This is a safe place where the children can hear a new Biblical truth story each day.
3. Mon. Tonight is camp training held at the Valley View Church of God, Valley View. Pray for the camp volunteers to make this training a priority. Those who attend the training come more prepared and are better equipped to help.
4. Tue. Tonight is camp training held at the St. John’s Reformed Church, Friedensburg. Pray for the camp volunteers to make this training a priority. Those who attend the training come more prepared and are better equipped to help.
5. Wed. Praise God for the dedication of Janet Kramer who grades the Bible lessons children send through the mail. Her faithful work has been a blessing to many. Pray for continued wisdom and strength for Janet and for the children to complete the lessons without a reminder. Pray for prisoners who are doing the Mailbox Club™ lessons. Lessons are available for pre-school through adult.
6. Thurs. Tonight is camp training held at the Calvary Evan. United Methodist Church, Tamaqua (Lewistown Valley). Pray for the camp volunteers to make this training a priority. Those who attend the training come more prepared and are better equipped to help.
7. Fri. Pray for the CEF® staff, summer missionaries (families), and committee as we gather together to pray for one another and the summer ministries.
8. Sat. Pray for the children who have bad home situations~ ask God to make Himself known within their families, changing lives.
9. Sun. Pray for the children: there are clubs in school districts where CEF® does not have a supporting church. Where can the children go to grow in their knowledge of the Savior and to be discipled in the Word of God?
10. Mon. Pray for Shelley and the CEF® staff across the state of PA as they prepare for CYIA™ (Christian Youth in Action™) training school which begins on Saturday.
11. Tue. Pray for God to move us, as believers in Christ, to have a burden for the lost and to be bold in sharing the Good News.
12. Wed. Pray for Mark Wyland, state director and Brenda Smith, assistant state director, as they lead the ministry of CEF® in Pennsylvania. Pray for them to be people of the Word.
13. Thurs. Pray for a few more men and women to serve on the CEF of Schuylkill County committee.
14. Fri. Praise God for all the volunteers who will be helping at Good News Day Camp.
15. Sat. Pray for the CEF® staff and summer missionaries from all across the state of PA as they travel to Hooversville, Somerset County for the weeklong CYIA™ training school. Pray for Shelley, Amy, and Christopher as they lead a 5-Day Club® demonstration.
16. Sun. Pray for Anne Centeleghe and Christopher Hautle as they will be in many Bible lesson classes today. Pray for Amy Hautle as she participates in the Leadership in Training classes and Grace Newswanger will be attending the Mission’s Track classes. Our days begin at 7:15 with breakfast and end at 10:30 with lights out. This is a very intense week of training, shared cabins/dorms, limited bathrooms, for the girls almost ½ mile walk from the dorms to the classroom~ Lots of togetherness!
17. Mon. Praise God for all those who contribute to CEF of Schuylkill County through prayer and finances. We are blessed!
18. Tues. Pray for the summer missionaries to grasp all the information they are being taught this week.
19. Wed. Today is Open Air at CYIA™ training school. Pray for all the summer missionaries who are in attendance as they share the Gospel using the Wordless Book with children who attend a day camp at the same facility where training school is being held. The summer missionaries get very nervous for this day.
20. Thurs. Pray for the summer missionaries at training school: there are many practicums they need to complete and by this day everyone is tired.
21. Fri. Pray for the CEF® staff and summer missionaries as they return home from CYIA™.
22. Sat. Pray for Shelley and Jerusha as they set up for Good News Day Camp in Tamaqua.
23. Sun. Pray for saved children to know that God is their place of safety. He is their all-caring, loving God.
24. Mon. Good News Day Camp is at the Lewistown Valley Tabernacle this week. Pray for the children to be receptive to God’s Word, for the staff (paid and volunteer) to be of one heart and mind, for safety, good weather~ Pray!
25. Tues. Pray for Pastor Britto and Annie who are with ICII (Independent Church in India) and will be serving as our camp missionaries.
26. Wed. Pray for Christian parents to see the value in their child attending Good News Day Camp. It’s a wonderful week to disciple the child in their knowledge of the Scriptures.
27. Thurs. Give thanks to the Lord for the following men and women who serve on the CEF® local committee: Mr. Erik Gottfried, Mr. John Racilla, Mrs. Linda Fetherolf, Mrs. Cathy Nagle, Mrs. Gale Hurst, and Mr. Tom Tilden. May they desire for God to be glorified in all their discussions and the decisions they make for CEF of Schuylkill County.
28. Fri. Pray for churches to use the ministries of CEF®: Good News Clubs, Party Clubs, 5-Day Clubs and Good News Day Camp to reach the families in their neighborhoods with the life-giving message of the Gospel.
29. Sat. Ask God to ripen the hearts of the children in Schuylkill County so they are receptive to the Gospel.
30. Sun. Pray for more people from Bible teaching churches to become involved in Good News Club® and Good News Day Camp.
