April 2022 Prayer Calendar

1. Fri. Praise God for His faithfulness to the ministry of CEF of Schuylkill County. He is Jehovah-Jireh.

2. Sat. This is the last week of Good News Club. Pray for the children to attend and for them to remember the truths they have been taught through the GNC ministry.

3. Sun. Praise for Janet Kramer as she grades the Mailbox Club™ lessons. Pray for the many children who made professions of faith to grow in their relationship with Jesus. Pray for more children to sign up to receive the lessons and to do them without reminders.

4. Mon. Pray for the children in Pottsville who attend the Good News Club® at First United Methodist Church. As with all children, their greatest need to know Christ.

5. Tue. Praise God for the army of volunteers who serve the Lord through a CEF of Schuylkill County ministry. Pray for each one to be in the Word: spending time daily growing in their knowledge of Him.

6. Wed. Praise God for the 2022 team of summer missionaries: Bobby Oravitz, Xander Burian, Anna Oravitz, Amy Hautle, and Christopher Hautle.

7. Thu. Pray for the Good News Day Camp flyers to get into the hands of the children. Pray for parents to see the importance of their children being taught the Gospel.

8. Fri. Pray for God to burden the hearts of His people to become involved in CEF and reaching the children in the neighborhood with the Gospel.

9. Sat. Praise God for the army of volunteers who give of their time, talents, and treasures to reach the boys and girls in the “neighborhood” with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

10. Sun. Praise God for His Holy Spirit who moves in the hearts of those He calls to salvation. Pray for His people to be ready in season and out of season to share the Gospel.

11. Mon. Pray for more of God’s people to serve as team leaders and team assistants at Good News Day Camp.

12. Tue. Praise God for Jennifer Hautle who has been volunteering in the office to make sure that our child protection paperwork is in compliance with the state of PA requirements.

13. Wed. Praise God for Charles Walton, Dave and Karen Snyder, Pat Williams, Barb Wetzel, and Christine Baum. They have helped to stuff the newsletter, prepare camp forms for the mail, and prepare crafts for camp.

14. Thu. Praise God for the following pastors and lay leaders who are participating in the Prayer Summit: Pastor Ralph Saunders, Pastor Todd Wolfe, Pastor Norm Dixon, Cathy Nagle, Erik Gottfried, Nick Weikel, Pastor Kerry Duke, Pastor Keith McCarthy, Pastor Jonathan Hikes, Pastor Preston Broadhurst, and Pastor John Wallace, and worship leader Jeff Beauvais.

15. Fri. Pray for Shelley as she leads the ministry, that she would continue to “cast all of her anxieties” on the Lord. (I Peter 5:7)

16. Sat. Praise God for His Word and the privilege we have as believers to share His truth with the children. Pray for more volunteers and locations to hold Good News Club®.

17. Sun. Praise God! Jesus is risen!

18. Mon. Pray for Janet Kramer as she writes personal notes to all the children who participate in the Mailbox Club™. Pray for wisdom and for God to give her the words to write that would correct, encourage, and inspire the children.

19. Tue. Pray for the children to “Seek the LORD and live.” Amos 5:6

20. Wed. Pray for more children to call the Tel-A-Story™ number~ a place where they can hear a Biblical truth story to help them grow in their relationship to the Lord Jesus. (1-888-878-8660)

21. Thu. Pray for the families who do not have a church home. Pray for God to burden their hearts so that they yearn for His Word.

22. Fri. Pray, PA State Director, Mark Wyland, will have “the mind of Christ” as he leads the CEF workers in the state. (1 Corinthians 2:16)

23. Sat. Today, Shelley, Jerusha and the summer missionaries, Anna, Amy, and Christopher, will be traveling to Delaware County for CYIA™ training.

24. Sun. Pray for open hearts to the Gospel.

25. Mon. This is the last week for GNC® in Pottsville. Pray for the children who attended to remember the Lord.

26. Tue. Cry out to God for the children who are starving for the Word of God.

27. Wed. Ask God to prompt children’s memories about working on their Mailbox Club™ lessons.

28. Thu. Give thanks for the following men and women who serve on the committee: Chairman Erik Gottfried, Vice Chairman Gale Hurst, Secretary Linda Fetherolf, Treasurer Cathy Nagle and members Dana Oravitz, and John Racilla. May they seek for God to be glorified in all their discussions and the decisions they make for CEF of Schuylkill County. Pray for Shelley and Jerusha or Elizabeth as they travel to the Allentown Airport to pick up Thomas Bush (he is leading the Prayer Summit). His flight arrives around midnight.

29. Fri. Tonight, the CEF committee, staff, and summer missionaries (with their families) will be meeting for a time of prayer in preparation for tomorrow’s Prayer Summit. Pray with us and for us.

30. Sat. Today is the Prayer Summit. Please join us at 9:00 a.m. at St. John’s Reformed Church in Friedensburg as we come together with God’s people to seek His face on behalf of families, children, schools, teachers, churches, and CEF.

31. Sun. Pray for the children’s hearts to be open to the Gospel. Pray for them to have an understanding mind.
