Join us at Good News Day Camp! We have lots of fun learning songs, meeting wacky characters, and learning all about God’s Word: the Bible! Come out and play games, make crafts, and meet other children all around the county. You’ll also get to meet missionaries who spend their time sharing the Good News of Jesus with people all around the world, even right here in Schuylkill County!\nWhy is Summer Camp a Good Idea?\nSummer camps provide holistic growth experiences for children, from social skills to personal growth, there are so many benefits to sending children to summer camp. At Good News Day Camp, children break out of their shells and make new friends, experience new opportunities, and grow personally by learning applicable truth from the Bible. Read on to dive into why sending your kids to Good News Day Camp is so worth it!\nMake New Friends\nAt Good News Day Camp, children make new lifelong friends in a safe environment. According to a study by the American Camp Association (ACA), ( https://www.acacamps.org/parents-families/benefits-camp ) necessary social skills like communication, teamwork, and conflict resolution grow organically and exponentially in camp environments!\nExperience New Things\nGood News Day Camp reserves a time for children to hear from missionaries, people who spend their lives telling people all over the world about Jesus! At Good News Day Camp, children benefit from hearing how God moves all over the world.\nKeep Learning\nSummer Camp may be more than academic, but at good News Day Camp, children learn real truth about how to live life God’s way – this includes loving other children well by being kind and caring, showing respect to adults, and even finding their identity in more than just themselves. Their newfound independence helps them develop crucial decision-making skills.\nWhat is a Day Camp?\nA Day Camp takes place during the day, so there is no overnight lodging to worry about! Children should be dropped off at camp between 9:00am and 9:30am and pick up is at 3:00pm! There is no after camp care provided.\nWhat Ages is Good News Day Camp?\nGood News Day Camp is for children grades K-6. Once a child completes 7th grade, they can volunteer to be team assistants!\nWhat Do I Need to Bring for Good News Day Camp?\nChildren are expected to come with their own lunches. there are no snacks provided, except for Snow-Cone time in the afternoon! Please be sure to list any allergy information on the camp registration form.\nHow Much Does Good News Day Camp Cost?\nGood News Day Camp costs $35 per child, with a $5 discount if registration is completed and turned in 14 days before the start of the first camp your child will be attending! Please note there is a scholarship box on the camp registration form – check this if you need assistance with the cost of camp. Box 486 Minersville, PA 17954 with a note on the memo line that it is for sponsoring a child!\nHow Do I Register My Child for Good News Day Camp at Pine Grove?\nYou can register your child by printing out our registration form, which you can find here ( https://cefschuylkill.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/2024-Registration.pdf ). One registration form per child.\nCan I Volunteer at Good News Day Camp?\nVolunteering with Good News Day Camp is a wonderful way to grow in your faith, pour into the lives of children, and share the gospel with others in your community!
